An Update From Wade

Recently the owner of this knife contacted me to let me know he is still using it, and has redeployed to Afghanistan. Yesterday (24 Aug 09) I received the following from him. This is the kind of thing that knifemakers live for:

“Hey Dave.  This was a couple nights ago.  We went hunting and had a pretty good trip.  I was looking at the picture and realized you can see the handle of the knife you made.  As you can see I changed the sheath.  I went with the spec-ops survival sheath because I can pack the pouch with all of my emergency signal equipment.  And the desert colors compliment the knife nicely.  LOL.  But I thought you might like a picture of me and ole 77 heading out for a night on the hunt.  I am also attaching a picture of it in its current state.  It looks a little rougher than the last time you saw it, but its still razor sharp and ready for work.  And it has served me well over the last 4 years.  Talk with you later.  Wade”

I simply cannot sufficiently express my gratitude for the work that Wade and all of our troops are doing for us. We are the most fortunate nation on Earth.

It just doesn’t get much better than this... :D
