The thermostat for this heating element is behind the back plate, which is sealed with a gasket.
Glad I saved that inner tube from my granddaughter’s bike? Me too. I made two rubber gaskets to seal the hole around the heating element. This heater did not come with a nut or washers; I had to go buy them. That seemed a bit off to me, but that’s how things go I guess.
